Why Nathan Sharma Encourages Young Business Owners to Surround Themselves with People Who Exhibit Growth-Oriented Mindsets

There are many reasons why Nathan Sharma suggests that you surround yourself with people who have similar goals in mind. You see, the people around you have a monumental impact on your life. In many ways, they influence the decision and actions you take. Even the simple act of observing others can affect your own motivation and potential. Hence, when running a business, it is essential that you are in the company of people who are a step ahead of you and push you to be your best self.

After becoming the COO of NIWE Academy, Nathan realized how contagious motivation can be and how it can affect your work ethic. He saw that when it comes to career development, most people tend to focus on things like certifications, additional courses, getting bigger titles, being assigned greater roles, and so on. Only a handful are purposefully surrounding themselves with people who inspire them and push them to achieve their goals, which according to Nathan, is one of the fastest and most guaranteed ways of achieving success.

Nathan champions the theory that you are the average of the five people you surround yourself with. He believes these people help you discover new ideas, propose new strategies, and give you honest feedback. All of which are essential to running a thriving business.

When Nathan started to work towards his goal to turn NIWE Academy into a multimillion-dollar corporation, he knew he needed to surround himself with people who understood his ambitions and would help him achieve them. Hence, he decided to be in the company of mentors. People he trusted and people he knew would give him their unfiltered opinion. It was through their support that Nathan was able to turn the NIWE into the superlative enterprise it is today.

Being an entrepreneurial coach, Nathan helps young business owners learn how to succeed in the business world. One of the recommendations he continually stresses upon is the need to surround yourself with people who exhibit a growth-oriented mindset. He suggests his peers be among people who have already walked down the path they have yet to explore. Nathan is of the view that as a business owner, you should always be open to some constructive criticism and acknowledge your mistakes to learn from them.

These suggestions combined are of indisputable importance to all who are about to start their business journeys. On the whole, surround yourself with more people like Nathan Sharma who are ready to help you every step of the way.
